Our Story

From local roots to your daily ritual

Baristas smiling behind the counter at Broadview Espresso in Toronto, with fresh pastries on display and a chalkboard coffee menu in the background.

Broadview Espresso opened its doors in 2008 when Mike decided to transform a quirky corner space at Broadview & Danforth into a neighbourhood coffee shop. The building has lived many lives: first a grocery store, then a bright yellow adult shop, but today it is home to one of Toronto’s coziest cafés. From the beginning, the goal was simple: serve good coffee without shortcuts and create a space where people feel welcome.

Over the years, Broadview Espresso has become a staple of the community. Our baristas know the regulars by name, our patio fills with conversations in the summer, and our shelves are stocked daily with fresh pastries from Circles and Squares. Whether you are stopping by for a creamy latte, a classic drip, or just a quick hello, Broadview Espresso is about more than coffee. It is about connection, consistency, and being part of Toronto’s East End story.
